Did you know that the “1st ONE PIECE Character World Popularity Poll” was held for readers all over the world. In the online popularity vote to decide the world’s best from a total of 1174 characters, over 12 million votes were received from around the world. The final rankings were announced on May 5th, and it was a great accomplishment that the first members of the Straw Hat Pirates (Luffy 1st, Zoro 2nd, Nami 3rd) dominated the top 3, and there were clear differences in the popular characters depending on the country and region.

For example, X Drake, whose image country is Turkey, is ranked 2nd in Turkey and 9th in the Middle East is interesting because it shows the regional characteristics. Major characters have an image of their country, such as Brazil for Luffy and the U.S. for Frankie, so people from their image countries may have been happy to vote for them.
Currently, 98 volumes have been released, but it is not too late to start.
